FINISH AND MATERIALS

Material Choice, Surface Discipline, And Real World Performance.

METHODOLOGY

Finishing and material decisions at DCLA FAB are driven by performance, not appearance. Materials are selected based on structural role, environmental exposure, wear patterns, and long term behavior. Finishes are developed as part of the build process and tested through handling, fabrication, assembly, and use. Nothing is cosmetic by default. Every surface must earn its place through durability, compatibility, and intent.

PROCESS & CONTROL

Materials and finishes are validated through controlled fabrication testing before final execution. Coatings, treatments, and surface processes are evaluated for adhesion, tolerance impact, maintenance demands, and failure behavior. Decisions are documented and locked before production begins. The result is work that holds up under real world conditions, not controlled environments.
